Affects Version/s: None
Fix Version/s: None
If you manage packages via RedHat Satellite or Spacewalk server, you can't use the two CFEngine provided RPMs cfengine-community-3.7.0-1.x86_64.rpm and cfengine-community-3.7.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm together. Since most places I know have a mixed rhel5 and rhel6+ environment this is a show stopper for many users.
The trouble is that you can't add cfengine-community-3.7.0-1 AND
cfengine-community-3.7.0-1.el6 to Satellite or Spacewalk channels, because the
"Version" and "Release" fields are identical.
The "Version" and "Release" are the same for both packages, so
they are essentially the same package as far as RPM and Satellite are concerned.
The fix is simple... The RPM SPEC file for the "el6" package needs to have the
"Release" value changed from "1" to "1.el6".
I don't think this can wait until 3.7.1. Please re-release the RPM's for 3.7.0 with proper release and version data.
