Description
Today we provide prebuilt binaries for mender-cli for 64-bit Linux.
To make it easier to obtain, these iterations may make sense:
- Create a separate download page for the tool with table for the OS & Architecture binaries download and repository links for each
- Move (or create) compilation instructions to their github repositories
- Add build target to mender-cli for dpkg and rpm
- That is, "make dpkg" or "make rpm" should produce a valid packages
- Create Linux repositories (deb and rpm) hosting the tool and update them on each release
- Upstream the tools into popular Linux distributions so they are easier to install (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat) and the distribution would maintain the packaging
