      Description

Amazon DocumentDB is a managed proprietary NoSQL database service that supports document data structures and has limited support for MongoDB workloads, with some compatibility with MongoDB version 3.6 and version 4.0. As a document database, Amazon DocumentDB can store, query, and index JSON data.

Mender relies on MongoDB features that are not available in AWS DocumentDB.

This ticket requires changes to the Mender backend to support AWS DocumentDB as a drop-in replacement to MongoDB.

      Acceptance criteria:

      • The Mender back-end can use AWS DocumentDB instead of MongoDB
